LE KARATE & LA COMPETITION

The Competition

Since 1975, the French Karate Federation (FFK), with its 252,700 members and 4,900 affiliated clubs throughout the country, has been organizing and developing the practice of karate and its associated disciplines. As a delegated federation of the Ministry of Sports , it holds exclusive rights to award national grades and diplomas, as well as to organize all championships, competitions, opens, cups and other major events.

It also ensures the training, preparation and selection of high-level athletes, thus contributing to the growth of the discipline on a national and international scale.

Competition-specific training aims to perfect the practitioners' techniques by optimizing aspects such as speed , power , explosiveness and much more. This allows competitors to prepare for the technical and physical demands of competitions.

The competition is open to all participants after one year of practice (from the second season). Young competitors can start from the age of 6 , boys and girls, with categories adapted to each age group and level. This experience, both sporting and personal, offers a unique opportunity to test one's abilities, to surpass oneself and to evolve in a respectful and stimulating environment.
